Welcome to Pelham City Middle School!

Where we strive to make learning engaging and fun! I feel honored to be the principal of a school with such caring and energetic students, a motivated and dedicated staff, and supportive parents who work with us to create a positive environment that fosters academic achievement. I am proud of the educational experiences we provide.  Our Mission Statement is to promote learning through encouragement, resources, leadership, and communication in a safe and caring environment as is modeled in our daily work and a part of your School Improvement  Plan (see SIP Goals).

Curriculum and Supports (School Improvement Goals 1, 2): The Pelham City School District Curriculum guides high-quality instruction every day in the classrooms. Our curriculum is aligned with both the Georgia Performance Standards and Georgia Standards of Excellence, which promote 21st-century learning skills. Our teachers work diligently to implement High Impact Practices (Evidence-Based Practices) in their classrooms. As a result, we have seen academic growth and look forward to continued success in academic achievement.

Culture and Climate (School Improvement Goal 3): As a school community,  we believe in building positive relationships where all members are valued and respected for their unique strengths and differences. This is fundamental for students’ success. We embrace our district initiative -Capturing Kid's Hearts- to support our strong belief in positive relationships. We understand that by capturing students' hearts, we can capture their minds and build lasting relationships that will help our students navigate their most challenging social and emotional years.

We are looking forward to another successful year. The staff and I will continue to keep students at the forefront of key decisions, including behavior incentives, extracurricular activities, scheduling ideas, and special events (Sneaker Ball). Therefore, effective communication is critical. Please do not hesitate to contact a principal, counselors, teachers, or staff regarding any questions or concerns.

Your child's education is our top priority! In transitioning from middle to high school, we want to ensure our students are ready for SUCCESS!
