Welcome to PCMS Counselor’s Corner

Welcome to Pelham City Middle School!  My name is Danielle Williamson and I am the proud school counselor at PCMS.  I am a graduate of Florida State University  with a Marriage and Family bachelor's degree and my masters, educational specialist degree are both from Valdosta State University in School Counseling.

I have been working with adolescents for twenty plus years, with the majority of those years in middle  school counseling. As PCMS’s school counselor I believe that the three years in middle school are critical developmental years where our students learn not only math, science and language arts but also how to grow socially and emotionally. My focus as the counselor is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to allow students to work through  life’s little bumps and to teach them how to learn from their obstacles.  In your student’s three years at PCMS it is my goal for them to have an academic and career plan sketched out as well as gain strength in their personal/social development.  Finally, my door is always open to my students, staff, parents and community members.  I also can be reached via email: dwilliamson@pelham-city.k12.ga.us  or by phone (229) 294-6063.
